Too Many WordPress Plugins Make Blogs Slower

Be careful that you don’t go too crazy with WordPress and install every WP plugin under the sun! If you do you might find like I did that your blog will get slower and slower! By slow I mean pages on your blog will load slow!
It’s usually not a problem with a few wordpress plugins – but the more you add – the more processing that is needed to be done and that affects page load time in a big way. also some plugins are hogs and take a lot of the load themselves because they do stuff in a demanding way.
Simply ask yourself – is this plugin necssary? Does this wordpress plugin serve a purpose and make my site better or help me with seo needs?
If the answer is not a glowing yes – consider deactivating the plugin or even deleting it. Yes – you might want to delete the wordpress plugin because sometimes a badly coded or old plugin will cause problems and maybe even give a backdoor for hackers to get into your site and add viruses or other scripts you’ll have to deal with later. Not fun! This really does happen – but mostly with older plugins.
